Auburn have done well in chasing talent from the transfer portal as they have added seven players since the open period which began on December 5.
Most of his finds have been on the offensive and defensive line, as well as a tight end and a linebacker. The Tigers have yet to earn the signing of a skill position player, although many prospects have visited campus.
The most recent talented player on a visit to Auburn is the former USF running back Brian Batty. batie, who racked up 1,842 yards in three seasons with the Bulls, visited the Auburn campus on Sunday. There he spoke with the running backs coach Cadillac-Williamsoffensive coordinator Philip Montgomeryand head coach Hugh Freeze.
After his discussion with the Auburn coaches, he came away feeling like he fit right into the Tigers system. He was also impressed with the new-built the Woltosz Football Performance Center, saying it “looks like something colleges aren’t even supposed to have.”
Auburn is looking to add depth to its running room after the departure of Bigsby Reservoirwho will enter the next NFL Draft. Jarquez Hunter and Damari Alston return to Auburn rotation and four-star commitment Jeremiah Cobb should join this summer. Battie would be a great addition, as he rushed for 1,186 yards and eight touchdowns for the Bulls in 2022.
According to Auburn Undercover, Battie will visit Colorado in the next few days and will make its decision on January 15.
