The college football rankings are already starting to surface for 2023 and we’re revealing the top 25 all too soon ahead of Monday night’s TCU-Georgia showdown in the national championship game. There are still many players in the transfer portal and potential early NFL Draft entries are yet to be decided, but for the most part, we have a good idea of how the rosters and coaching teams will look in the spring.
Our All-Too-Soon Top 25 voting team consisted of 247Sports national analysts Brad Crawford, Bud Elliott, Chris Hummer and Brandon Marcello. Votes were tabulated using a point system and then distributed accordingly. Outliers are mentioned. r-teamsIowa, North Carolina and Wisconsin received votes that narrowly missed the cut.
Building a pre-season top 25 eight months into the game is risky business, and two of our 2022 pre-season top four the teams failed to reach the playoffs. Hopefully that early projection will be a little more accurate a year from now.
Here’s a look at our pre-season top 25 rankings for the 2023 season.
