Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers enjoys the start of his offseason by spending time on the golf course. Attending the Pebble Beach Pro-AM on Thursday, Rodgers couldn’t avoid questions about his play in the future, even while preparing for his tee shot. PGA Tour Analyst Colt Knost Asked Rodgers on his future as a player as he prepared to take his tee shot, and Rodgers had a perfect response, ruling out the possibility of landing with the 49ers, before firing a superb shot just wide of the green.

When asked if he had “any news” to share, Rodgers hilariously told Knost that he’s “not going to San Francisco.” After Knost mentioned that Rodgers “would look great with a [Dallas] The Cowboys star on your helmet,” Rodgers bowed his head and hit an exceptional tee shot that received quite a bit of applause.
Sorry 49ers fans, if there was any idea that Rodgers was joining the Niners, you can kiss him goodbye.
This isn’t the first time Rodgers has been heckled about his playing future on the golf course. Last season, while deciding his future with the Packers, in a situation eerily similar to the one he finds himself in now, Rodgers was asked by golf fans to join the Broncos. He ended up staying with the Packers, but his future in Green Bay is once again in doubt.
While Rodgers has indicated he likely won’t make a decision on his NFL future for at least a few weeks, speculation about his potential retirement or a blockbuster trade continues to swirl. The New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders are considered among his most likely trade destinations.
Although it took a while to get away from all the noise surrounding his NFL career, it didn’t take long for Aaron Rodgers to get interested in the subject at Pebble Beach.
